Your studio's craft deserves a home

Production lessons live on set and rarely on the page. Department-by-department craft, camera, sound, edit, gets siloed. Reference films and shot lists sit across different folders. C3NTR is a quiet place to write it all down once, in your studio's voice.

Who this is for

Independent teachers

One teacher, a teaching space, and a steady stream of students. C3NTR puts your techniques, materials and history in one place.

Studios with multiple teachers

Two or more teachers teaching across the week. C3NTR holds the shared standard so every class draws from the same library.

Schools preparing for film school

Your students are applying to film school or festivals. Content locked by level keeps newer students on craft while advanced see festival prep.

Built for teachers, not for IT

Your teacher opens the app, taps Edit, and writes the next shot list note in plain prose. The next shoot, the crew arrives knowing the plan.

Write directly in the app

Like a notepad. New articles are drafts until you publish, so nothing goes live by mistake.

Mobile-first authoring

Edit on the phone between classes or on the way home. The same library, the same edit screen.

A working library in under an hour

Import the starter template in a few taps. Edit anything that doesn't fit. Publish when ready.

Levels, beginner, intermediate, advanced, festival

Content locked by level, in your studio's progression

Tag any article with a minimum level. Beginners see story and basic camera. Intermediate see production. Advanced see festival prep. The same library, the right view per student.

A glossary of filmmaking terms

Filmmaking carries its own vocabulary. C3NTR's glossary holds the terms in one place: the technical names, your studio's preferred terms, and the article each term appears in.

Shot
A single continuous piece of film, from the moment the camera starts recording to the moment it stops, or from one cut in the edit to the next.
Cut
The instantaneous change from one shot to the next in a finished film, and the editor's main tool.
Mise-en-scène
Everything that appears in front of the camera, the setting, the props, the actors' costumes and gestures, the lighting, the way the camera frames it all.
Coverage
The set of different shots taken of the same scene from different angles, so that the editor has flexibility when cutting it together.
Aperture
The adjustable opening inside a camera lens that controls how much light reaches the sensor, and, with it, the depth of field of the shot.
Foley
The art of creating and recording sound effects in post-production by performing them in sync with the picture, footsteps, fabric movement, objects being set down, fights.

Screenings, shoots, festival deadlines

C3NTR isn't only the library. Schedule the next screening, post shoot dates, and let students see what's ahead. Announcements land on their Today tab and events sit on the calendar.

Start from our Filmmaking template

A working starter with 16 articles, 2 short videos, a 8-terms glossary across 5 tags (Getting Started, Story & Script, Camera & Sound, Directing & Editing, Practice & Projects). Import in a few taps, then edit anything that doesn't fit your school. Every article, term and tag is yours from the moment you import.

Common questions

Can students only see their level's material?

Yes. Tag any article with a minimum level. New students see only foundations. Teachers see everything.

Does it cover NFTS, Met Film School, your school's method?

Yes. The starter is method neutral. NFTS, Met Film School, your school's method can adapt without rewriting.

Can my studio customise the filmmaking template?

Yes. Every article, technique and term is editable. Add your studio's preferred methods, your favoured materials and your house standards.

How long does it take to set up?

Most schools have a working library in under an hour. Import the starter template in a few taps, then edit anything that doesn't fit. Starting blank takes a little longer. Allow an hour or two to write your first ten articles. Students can use the app the day you publish.

Do I have to stop using my booking system?

No. C3NTR is a knowledge library for your curriculum, terminology and progressions. Booking, billing and scheduling stay with the tools you already use.

Is there a free plan?

Yes. Seed is free forever for up to 30 students, with no credit card required. Move up to School (£39/mo) or Academy (£69/mo) when you outgrow it.
