1. What this page is for
Everything published on C3NTR is written or uploaded by a school. If you see something that is wrong, harmful, or uses material without the right to, this page tells you how to report it and what we will do. It covers both content complaints and intellectual property (IP) notices.
In the app, open an item’s menu and choose Report (for an announcement, press and hold it). That starts an email to us with the school and the item already named; you add what is wrong and send it. You can also write to us directly as set out below.
2. If someone is in immediate danger
Contact the emergency services on 999 first. We are not an emergency service and cannot respond quickly enough in that situation. For concerns about a child that involve the platform, see our Safeguarding page.
3. Who can report
Anyone. That includes members of a school, parents and guardians, rights holders and their representatives, and anyone else who comes across the content. You do not need a C3NTR account to report.
4. What to include
For any report, please give us:
- a link to the content, or a screenshot if a link is not possible
- the name of the school that published it
- what is wrong with it, in your own words
- your name and an email address we can reply to
For an IP notice, please also include:
- the work you say has been used, and where the original can be seen
- your relationship to it: the owner, or authorised to act for the owner
- a statement that you believe in good faith the use is not authorised by the owner, their agent or the law
- a statement that the information in your notice is accurate
A notice that is missing these details is not complete. We will tell you what is missing, but the time limits in section 6 run from when we have a complete notice.
5. Where to send it
Email info@c3ntr.app with the subject "Report content" for a content complaint, or "IP notice" for an intellectual property notice. This address is monitored by our team.
6. What we do
- We acknowledge every report within 2 working days.
- We look at the content and the notice. If something is missing, we ask you for it.
- Within 5 working days of receiving a complete notice, we remove or restrict the content where the notice is well founded, and we notify the school leader of what we have done and why.
- Where the content poses a risk to someone's safety, we restrict it as soon as we see the report, before the review is finished.
- We keep a written log of every notice we receive, what we did, and when.
- We tell you the outcome, so far as we can without sharing someone else's personal information.
7. Counter-notice by the school
If we remove or restrict content, the school leader can send us a counter-notice at info@c3ntr.app explaining why the content should be restored, for example because the school owns the material or holds a licence for it. We review the counter-notice, may put the two sides in touch where both agree, and decide whether to restore the content. We tell both sides what we decided.
8. Reports made in bad faith
Please only report content you genuinely believe is wrong, harmful or infringing. We may decline to act on reports that are repeated, abusive or clearly made to disrupt a school.
