Events & calendar
3 min readThe Today tab is where you find your school's classes, gradings and events. Browse them as a list or on a month calendar, search for the one you want, open it for the full details, and add it to your iPhone Calendar.
Where to find it
Today is the fifth tab in the bottom navigation bar. It has two tabs at the top:
- Events — your school's upcoming classes and events.
- Announcements — messages from your school. See Notifications.
Find an event
Under the Events tab, a small control bar helps you find what you need:
- Search — tap the magnifying glass and type. It matches an event's name, description and dates, so words like grading, friday, june, or this week all work.
- Filter — narrow the list by type of event.
- List or Calendar — switch between the day-by-day list and a month calendar. On the calendar, tap a day to see its events.
Open an event
Tap any event to open its full screen. You'll see a cover image, the title, the date, time and place, the teacher, and the full description. From here you can add it to your calendar and, if your school has turned it on, say whether you're coming.
Add an event to your iPhone Calendar
On an event, tap Add to calendar. The first time, iOS asks permission to add events to your calendar — grant it, and the event appears in your default iPhone Calendar with the title, time and place filled in.
If you denied permission by mistake, open the Settings app › C3NTR › Calendars and turn it back on.
Say if you're coming
When your school has RSVP on, the event detail screen shows three choices: Going, Maybe, and Can't go. Tap one to let your teachers know to expect you.
- You see a simple count, like "12 going" — never who chose what.
- Your teachers can see your name against your answer, so they can plan the session.
- Tap your current choice a second time to clear it. You can change your answer, or remove it, at any time.
You don't have to open an event to reply. Long-press any event card for a quick menu with the same three choices. Once you've answered, a small marker shows on the event card, in search results, and on the Up Next home widget, so you can see at a glance what you've said yes to. An event you've marked Can't go drops off the Up Next widget.
For a class that repeats, replying asks whether your answer is for just this event or all occurrences, so you can RSVP to the whole term at once or to a single date.
Not every school uses RSVP. If you don't see these choices, your school has it turned off.
Find where a class is held
If a class has a location, the event shows the venue's name and a map link. You can also browse all of your school's venues — each shows a photo, address and map link, so you know where to go before your first visit. See Locations.
Mark your preferred locations
If your school teaches at more than one venue, you can mark the ones you usually go to. Tap the star on a venue card to add or remove it from your preferred locations. You can also set them from a venue's detail screen (the ⋯ menu has Add to preferred) or from Edit profile.
Your preferred venues are surfaced first when you browse locations. In the events filter, tap the My locations chip to show only events at those venues, and the Up Next home widget leans towards classes at your venues too. Everything is per member, so your choices only change your own view.
A cancelled class
Sometimes a single class is called off. When that happens, the event stays on the calendar marked as cancelled, often with a short reason like "Instructor away". The rest of the term carries on as normal.
