Search

4 min read

Search finds articles, glossary terms, tags, school events, and announcements across your entire school library. It matches on titles and body text, with a fuzzy fallback that still finds results when your spelling isn't exact — and it works offline.

Global search overlay with results

Open search

Tap the centre button in the navigation bar. The search overlay covers the screen with a search bar positioned above the keyboard. Start typing to see results.

You can open search from any tab. It works the same way everywhere.

How matching works

Search works in two passes so you still get results even when your typing isn't exact.

Keyword matches appear first, with fuzzy matches filling in below when there aren't many exact hits.

Note

Search runs entirely on your device. Your search queries are never sent to any server, so your privacy is fully protected.

Filter results

Below the search bar you will see filter chips:

Tap a chip to narrow your results. Tap it again to go back to showing everything.

Find school events

Search looks ahead up to twelve months in your school calendar. Type the name of an event, a type (like "grading" or "camp"), or a place (like "Main hall") and matching events appear with a calendar icon. Tap one to see the full day summary, with the option to add it to your iPhone calendar.

Recurring events show the next upcoming date. A weekly class appears once, not once for every week.

Reading your results

Search results with matching keywords highlighted

Results are grouped by type, with the closest matches at the top. Matching keywords are highlighted in each result so you can see why it appeared.

Looking for related content?

To discover articles connected by topic rather than by the words you typed, open an article and scroll to the More like this rail. That's where C3NTR's on-device AI suggests related reading. See Reading articles.

Recents and shortcuts

Before you start typing, the search overlay shows helpful shortcuts:

Offline search

Search works without an internet connection. When you are offline, it still finds cached articles and terms on your device — the whole search runs locally, so there's nothing extra to download to keep it working.

Tip

If you can't remember the exact word, type your best guess anyway. The fuzzy fallback still surfaces close matches, so a small typo won't leave you empty-handed.
