Report or block
3 min readIf something in your school's app is wrong, upsetting or shouldn't be there, you can tell your school, tell us, or take it out of your own view. This guide shows you how to report, hide or block, what happens next, and how to undo it.
Open Report or block
Press and hold any article, video, term or announcement. Or open it and tap the … button.
Tap Report or block.
Choose what you'd like to do. Each option is explained below.
If you teach or help run your school, you see Report instead. It offers Report to C3NTR, and Something's wrong when you can't edit the item yourself.
Tell your school something's wrong
Choose Something's wrong when an item is out of date, wrong or broken. A video that won't play, a technique name spelt wrong, last term's timetable. Add a note about what needs fixing if it helps, then tap Send.
Your school's leaders get a notification, and an email if they have linked one. If none of them can be reached, the note comes to us and we follow it up with your school.
Report something to C3NTR
Choose Report to C3NTR when something shouldn't be in the app at all. Pick the reason that fits best:
- Offensive or inappropriate
- Bullying or harassment
- Unsafe or harmful
- Someone else's work
- Something else
Add a note if you'd like to tell us more, then tap Send. Your report comes to the C3NTR team with the school and the item already named.
What happens after you report
- We look at every report within 24 hours.
- If something breaks our rules, we can remove or restrict it and tell the school. We can also suspend an account.
- The person who posted it isn't told who reported it.
If you own the rights to something a school has used without permission, you can also send us an intellectual property notice. See Report content for what to include and how we handle it.
Hide an item
Choose Hide this item to take one article, video, term or announcement out of your view. It stays in the app for everyone else, and nobody is told. C3NTR remembers what you hid on this phone.
Block someone
Choose Block followed by the person's name to hide everything they publish: their articles, videos, terms and announcements. Read the short explanation, then tap Block again to confirm.
- If they wrote most of your school's content, C3NTR tells you first, because blocking them hides nearly everything.
- Blocking only changes what you see. They aren't told, and it doesn't send us a report. To tell us about something they posted, use Report to C3NTR as well.
Show hidden items again
Open the user menu. Tap your avatar on Home, or swipe in from the right edge of any tab.
Tap Your data, then Hidden and blocked. It shows how many items you've hidden and how many people you've blocked.
Tap Show everything to confirm. Every item you hid, and everything from people you blocked, shows again.
Hidden and blocked appears once you've hidden an item or blocked someone.
The daily limit
You can send up to 20 reports a day. The limit keeps reports useful for everyone and stops accidental repeats. If you reach it, the app tells you. You can send more the next day, or email info@c3ntr.app if it can't wait.
