Notifications

C3NTR keeps you informed when your school posts announcements. Here is how notifications work and where to find them.

Push notifications

When a school leader sends an announcement, you receive a push notification on your device. This works even when the app is closed.

The first time you open C3NTR, it will ask for permission to send notifications. We recommend allowing this so you do not miss important updates from your school.

Foreground notifications

If the app is open when an announcement arrives, a banner appears at the top of the screen. You do not need to leave what you are doing to see it.

Unread badges

The Updates tab in the navigation bar shows a badge with the number of unread announcements. This count updates in real time.

On iOS, the app icon on your home screen also shows a badge count.

Managing announcements

In the Updates tab you can:

• Swipe right on an announcement to mark it as read.
• Swipe left to mark it as unread (useful as a reminder).
• Long-press to enter select mode for bulk actions.
