Setup wizard
The setup wizard guides you through five steps to get your school ready. Every step is optional and you can come back to any of them later. The whole process takes about five minutes.
When the wizard appears
The wizard launches automatically after you create a school. It also appears if you tap any incomplete item on the Getting Started card on your home screen.
You can skip any step by tapping Skip at the bottom of the screen. Your progress is saved as you go, so if the app closes mid-step, you will pick up where you left off.
The wizard restarts safely if the app closes or your connection drops. No work is lost.
Step 1: Name your school and pick a discipline
Enter the name of your school. This is what members see when they open the app.
Next, choose your discipline. The picker has two levels:
Pick a category. There are eight to choose from: Martial Arts, Dance, Music, Yoga, Gymnastics, Fitness, Wellness, and Academic.
Pick a sub-discipline. Each category shows specific options. For example, Martial Arts includes Wing Chun, Karate, Jiu-Jitsu, Taekwondo, and many more.
Your discipline choice helps C3NTR suggest relevant templates and give the AI writing assistant context about your school.
You can change both the name and discipline later in Settings.
Step 2: Set your theme
Theme Studio lets you make the app feel like your school. You will see a live phone preview that updates as you make changes.
- Colour picker — Choose your school's primary colour. C3NTR checks the contrast to make sure text stays readable.
- Dark or light mode — Toggle between a dark and light base. The preview updates in real time.
- Button text mode — Choose whether button text is light, dark, or automatic based on your colour.
- Surface tint — Adjust how much of your primary colour tints background surfaces. The slider lets you find the right balance.
You do not need to set everything now. The defaults work well and you can fine-tune your theme at any time from Settings > Branding.
Step 3: Upload a logo and hero image
Add your school's logo and a hero image for the home screen. Both are optional.
Tap the logo area to open the image picker. You can choose a photo from your gallery or take one with the camera.
Tap the hero image area to add a wider banner image. This appears at the top of your home screen.
If you do not have images ready, skip this step and add them later from Settings.
Step 4: Import content
This is the fastest way to get content into your school. You have two options:
- Import a document — Upload a DOCX, Markdown, TXT, or RTF file. C3NTR opens the Document Map screen where you can review headings, split the document into articles, and choose which parts to import.
- Browse the template library — Choose from pre-written templates designed for your discipline. Templates give you a starting structure that you can edit to match your school.
You can also skip this and write content from scratch later. See the Your first content guide for that approach.
Step 5: Invite members
Add the phone numbers of people you want to invite. They will receive an SMS with a link to download C3NTR and join your school.
Enter phone numbers one at a time, or use bulk invite to add several at once.
Choose the role for each person: student, assistant instructor, or instructor.
Tap Send invites. Each person is added to your school's whitelist and receives an invitation.
You can invite more people at any time from the Members screen.
Complete the wizard
After finishing (or skipping) all five steps, you will see a celebration banner. Your setup score reaches 100% and the wizard closes.
The Getting Started card stays on your home screen until every task is done. Tap any incomplete item to return to that step.
Discover More
Below the main checklist, you will find six bonus items in a Discover More section. These are not required, but they help you get more out of C3NTR:
- Pin a section — Feature a tag on the home screen for quick access.
- Add a featured image — Give your top articles a cover image.
- Customise nav labels — Rename the Home, Explore, and Favourites tabs to match your school's language.
- Set a featured term — Highlight a glossary term on the home screen.
- Write a welcome message — Greet members when they open the app.
- Add a video — Upload or link a video to an article.
Each item links directly to the right place in the app so you can complete it in a few taps.
