Glossary
2 min readGlossary terms are the key concepts, techniques, and vocabulary for your school. They sit alongside articles in the Explore tab and give everyone a shared language.
What is a glossary term
A glossary term is a short entry that defines a concept, technique, or piece of vocabulary. Each term can include:
- Title — The name of the term.
- Definition — A clear explanation of what it means.
- Pronunciation — An optional guide to how the term is said aloud.
- Image or icon — A cover image or an icon to help identify it at a glance.
Where terms appear
Terms appear alongside articles in the Explore tab. You can tell them apart by their icon. In the Explore filter chips, tap Terms to see only glossary entries.
Terms also appear in search results. If you search for a word that matches a term title or definition, it will show up alongside articles and announcements.
Read a term
Tap a term card to open the full definition. If the term has a cover image, it appears at the top. The definition is below, followed by any additional body content the author added.
Grade levels
Terms use the same grade system as articles. If a term is set to a grade level above yours, it will not appear in your feed. This helps your school leader control what is visible at each stage of learning.
Save to favourites
Tap the heart icon on any term to add it to your Favourites. Your saved terms appear in a separate group on the Favourites screen, making them easy to find.
