Edit modes
C3NTR has three edit modes that let you organise content without leaving the screens you browse every day. Reorder items, move content between tags, and apply bulk changes — all in place.
Enter edit mode
Long-press any article, term, or tag on the Explore tab to enter edit mode. The bottom navigation bar hides to give you more working space.
When you are finished, tap Done. Your changes save and the screen returns to its normal browsing view.
You can also add new content without entering edit mode. Tap the + button in the top-right corner of the Explore tab to add an article, term, tag, or import from a template or file.
Learn Edit Mode
Learn Edit Mode works on the Explore tab when you are viewing articles grouped by tag.
Reorder tags
Long-press a tag header and drag it to a new position. The other tags shift to make room.
Reorder articles
Long-press an article row and drag it up or down. You can drag articles within the same tag or across to a different tag. When you hover over a collapsed tag for a moment, it expands so you can drop the article inside.
Select and bulk-act
Tap checkboxes to select individual articles, or tap the tag-level checkbox to select everything in that tag. Tag checkboxes use a tri-state pattern: unchecked, partial (some selected), and fully checked.
With items selected, the action bar at the top offers:
- Publish — Set selected articles to published.
- Draft — Move selected articles back to draft status.
- Pin / Unpin — Pin articles to the top of their tag, or remove the pin.
- Move to tag — Reassign selected articles to a different tag.
- Permissions — Set a minimum grade level for the selected articles.
- Delete — Remove the selected articles.
Change thumbnails
Tap an article thumbnail to open the media picker. You can choose a cover image from your library, upload a new one, or pick from Unsplash.
Filter the list
The filter bar at the top lets you switch between All content and Drafts only. This helps you find unpublished work quickly.
Glossary Edit Mode
Glossary Edit Mode follows the same pattern, applied to glossary sections and terms.
- Reorder sections — Long-press a section header and drag.
- Reorder terms — Long-press a term row and drag it within or across sections.
- Section icons — Tap a section icon to open the icon picker and choose a new one.
- Bulk actions — Select terms and apply publish, draft, pin, move, permissions, or delete.
- Filter bar — Switch between All and Drafts.
Explore Edit Mode
Explore Edit Mode offers three sub-modes depending on what you are viewing when you long-press to enter edit mode.
Tag edit
Rearrange and manage tags themselves. Expand or collapse tags, drag them into a new order, and use tri-state checkboxes for bulk selection. Create a new tag from the title dropdown menu.
Article and term edit
Work with a flat list of articles or terms. Each row shows inline tag pills so you can see where the item lives. Tap a thumbnail to change it — articles open the media picker, terms open the icon picker.
Tap the tag pills on any item to open the tag management sheet. You have two options:
- Move — Pick one tag and the item moves there, replacing its current tags.
- Add — Toggle multiple tags so the item appears in more than one place.
Grouped edit
The default view when no type filter is active. Articles and terms appear grouped under their tags. You can drag items to reorder within and across groups.
After editing an item, you return to edit mode with a brief highlight on the item you changed. This makes it easy to confirm your edit and keep working.
